UEFA A license coach Darren Moss is the latest recruit to the Wroxham FC coaching set up and joins the club as Head of Coach Development. Darren’s primary role will be to pull together all strands of football at the club and act as mentor to senior and junior coaches at the club and the Academy. Darren is currently an FA Regional Coach Mentor within the FA’s technical Directorate and joins following many years helping at Aylsham, his home town club, and supporting other clubs and coaches across the region through his mentor work. The former West Ham apprentice and Barnet player will be a key part of the club development programme charged with developing and delivering successful pathways for players and coaches.
Darren added ‘’The Chairman and Jordan (first team manager) are clear that they want to build a sustainable and progressive club. I am delighted to be joining the team, the club’s commitment to develop both on and off the field is exciting and ambitous and coach development is a key part of this. ’’.
Chairman Lee Robson said “I am delighted that Darren has agreed to come aboard. I’m keen that we develop a one club approach rather than a collection of teams. It’s important that we design our future around a clear view of what we are as a club and how we want our teams to play and behave. You can see with England at the World Cup (and Wales at the Euros) that if the vision and culture are right and you have a clear identity you can punch well above your weight. It’s going to be hard graft but there’s an old saying that “Smooth seas don’t make great Yachtsmen”
